Hands-on
workshop
”Real-time qPCR and HRM for genetic analysis”
TATAA
Biocenter qPCR Training course
This 2-day introductory
course consists of both theoretical and practical parts where you
get to perform Real-time qPCR experiments yourself under experienced
supervision. The course will give you a deeper understanding of the
fundamentals of qPCR, including primer and probe design, optimization of qPCR
reactions and basic data analysis. It will also introduce you to High
Resolution Melt analysis, HRM, which is a valuable method to analyze genetic
differences. DNA melting curves are used to distinguish differences of down to
single base substitutions and can be used for SNP analysis , Gene scanning or
Methylation analysis.
