TATAA Biocenter Expands its Digital PCR offerings with Stilla Technologies unique 3-color Digital PCR System Naica

Göteborg, Sweden & Stilla, France, February 20, 2018

TATAA Biocenter, Europe´s leading provider of genomic services, is expanding its digital PCR offerings with Stilla Technologies unique 3 color digital PCR system Naica. “Digital PCR is the most important complement to qPCR and NGS and can be used for standardization, copy number variation, and rare mutation analysis,” said Dr. Mikael Kubista, founder and CEO of TATAA Biocenter. “We have previously adopted the Quantstudio 12K from ThermoFisher, and the BioMark from Fluidigm, which offer simultaneous measurements of qPCR and highly specific and sensitive dPCR analysis, and QX200 from Bio-Rad and QuantStudio 3D from ThermoFisher that offer dPCR in high throughput, using a much larger number of partitions. With this addition of the Naica system we can also offer the power of 3-color digital PCR. This is major strengthening of our service and training offerings.”

Stilla Technologies is thrilled to partner with TATAA Biocenter on extending TATAA’s current offer on genomic service and hands-on digital PCR training courses. “Our system has some unique features, in particular its 3-color multiplexing capability, that provide users extended analytical power in digital PCR. We believe that these innovations, and digital PCR in general, will open new perspectives in the field of genetics,” said Magali Droniou, co-founder and Applications Director of Stilla Technologies. “This will happen only if we, as a technology provider, set education and training as one of the company’s key missions. In this effort, joining forces with TATAA Biocenter makes full sense.”
